Job Summary:

Repair Farm Equipment

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up all new farm equipment and some Lawn & Garden equipment Repair all tires as needed Weld equipment when needed Lot maintenance as needed (plow snow, mow lot etc)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to weld and metal fabrication
• Knowledge of all farm equipment and how to fix the problems
• Ability to go on service calls when needed which requires a valid Driver’s License
• Ability to show customers how to use and operate equipment

Working Hours:

M-F: 7:30 am to 5 pm, S: 7:30 am to 3 pm (Saturdays are normally on Rotation)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment and skid loaders (preferably including Advanced Farming Systems)
• Participates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Maintains current knowledge of products we sell and competitive products
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Accounts for all time in electronic time clock system, as well as all materials used in performing assigned duties

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 1+ years of experience performing service repairs preferred
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used on our equipment as well as ability to read schematics for those systems
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
• Valid drivers license is required
• Must have reliable attendance
• Ability to use basic computer functions
• Willingness to work beyond normal shifts, (ex.. after hours, weekends, and holidays when customer demand is present)
• Must own personal tools. OEM specific & most specialty tools will be provided by Kalscheur Implement Co. Inc.
